Course Description

Once candidates have achieved satisfactory completion of their Work Based Task Assignment and signed off by their employer, they can then move on to completing their technical test (TMJI). Work Based Task Assignments have to be completed within the 12-month period from the date they completed their MJI training. Each individual will complete a formal assessment of their job knowledge, skills and ability in each Mechanical Joint Integrity subject.

The ECITB technical competence validation tests are standards-based consisting of a bank of knowledge questions and a practical task to validate the learner’s skills, knowledge and ability.

Successful candidates will attain an ECITB certificate of achievement which is valid for a period of 3 years.

Unsuccessful candidates must wait a minimum period of 4 weeks between the unsuccessful test session and the next session to allow for a period of training to address any skills or knowledge gaps.

Audience

Any individual who has completed their Work Based Task Assignment within the 12-month period for the following:

  • TMJI 10 - Dismantle, Assemble and Hand Torque Flanged Joint
  • TMJI 11 - Dismantle, Assemble and Hand Torque Clamp Connector
  • TMJI 18 - Dismantle, Assemble and Tensioning Bolted Connections (Hydraulic Tensioning)
  • TMJI 19 - Dismantle, Assemble and Torque Hydraulically Torqued Bolted connections
  • TMJI 20 - Dismantle, Assemble and Hydraulically Torque Clamp Connector Joints

These can be completed as single entities or altogether if candidate has completed all assignments.

Course Description

To give the Candidate an awareness and understanding of all requirements of an N2/He leak detection technician.

Classroom theory will cover - N2 awareness, hazards associated with working with N2, safe rigging up and use of equipment, N2 Pump LP and HP circuits, Leak Detection, platforms, P&ID's and calibration of Mass Specs and PHD'4s.

Practical will cover - Rig up of pump spread, cool down, pumping activities and use of PHD4's.

A theory and practical assessment will take place on the final day.

Audience

IWCF (2019) states, 'Recommended in addition to content covered in Level 3 training, wellsite supervisory and personnel primarily involved with well design and operational decision making process.

Wellsite supervisors and those involved with well design and operational decision-making are recommended to complete a Level-4 course in addition to content covered in Level-3. Also, those involved with potential well kill methodology should be trained to this high level.

Course Description

The WIPC course at Level 2 is the introductory programme which is designed for individuals below a supervisory level but people who are in critical well control positions during well intervention operations. This course will be delivered by one of our highly experienced instructors by means of interactive media slides, animations, group activities and classroom exercises.

The course comprises of 5 modules; however, only 3 are compulsory:

  • Coiled Tubing Operations
  • Snubbing Operations
  • Wireline Operations

Audience

The certification standards in our programme are based on the pressure control knowledge required by service Equipment Operators in their respective jobs. This includes (but not exclusively) to crews within:

  • Well-site services
  • E-line/slick-line
  • Coiled tubing teams
  • Snubbing
  • Well test crew members
  • Cementing, Pumping and Stimulation service lines

Candidates successful in Level 2 should be aiming to progress to Level 4 status.
